What is the first session like?

Before your first session (called an “intake”), we will send you links so that you can electronically complete a few forms (an intake questionnaire and an informed consent form).

During the intake session, we’ll review those forms and discuss a treatment plan.

How many times do we need to meet?

I recommend meeting weekly for at least the first month so that I can get to know you better and form a relationship.

Once you see relief from your symptoms, we can talk about stretching out the sessions.

Are you licensed?
Yes, I hold a doctoral degree and am licensed as a clinical psychologist in California.
How do I know if you can help me?

At the end of your intake session, we’ll discuss if we’re a good match and how ready you are to try therapy to change the course of your life.

Once we start working together, I’ll also check in with you at the end of each session to see how you’re feeling about your progress.

Have you been in therapy yourself?
I have been in both individual and group therapy. I highly recommend therapy to anyone wanting a healthier, more fulfilling life.
